Inclusion, growth, culture

An Erasmus+ internship means engaging with companies and international organisations, learning by doing, discovering new languages and cultures, and gaining clearer direction for your career path.

Job shadowing is a training experience that lets you work alongside professionals in other countries, observing first-hand different methods, strategies and organisational models.

Our language programmes help you improve quickly and effectively thanks to direct contact with native speakers and the chance to practise daily in real-life situations.

With GEM you can take part in professional development abroad through mobility opportunities dedicated to teachers and school staff across Europe.
What should I know?
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can take part in Erasmus+ projects with GEM?
Students, recent graduates, teachers, trainers, and school staff from schools, training bodies, and European partner organizations can take part. Some projects are also aimed at young people seeking their first job. If you’re under 30 and looking for a learning experience outside Italy, you’re in the right place!
How long do Erasmus+ internships abroad last?
It depends on the project: generally from 2 weeks up to 3 months. Some programs can last up to 6 months. The duration is set according to learning objectives, participant profiles, and agreements with host partners.
Are Erasmus+ projects free of charge?
Participation is completely free for selected candidates. Erasmus+ calls cover all main expenses: travel, accommodations, insurance, local transportation, and training activities. The only cost left to participants is meals (daily food).
Do I need to speak Italian to take part?
No. Even if the experience is in Italy, you don’t need to speak Italian well. GEM tutors and contacts support participants in English or through language mediation, and many host organizations are used to working with international students. During your stay, you’ll also have the chance to learn Italian naturally through everyday life.
